About the kever

Just south of Jerusalem lies Kever Rachel, the tomb of Rachel Imenu (Rachel our Matriarch), beloved wife of Jacob and mother of Joseph and Benjamin. Revered for her compassion and selflessness, Rachel is remembered as the mother who “weeps for her children” — a symbol of comfort and hope for the Jewish people. Her white-domed tomb, enclosed within a historic stone building, draws thousands of visitors each year who come to pray for mercy, children, health, and protection.
