Rabbi Tarfon, a renowned Tanna of the Mishnah known for his wisdom and humility, is traditionally associated with a burial site near Lod. Visitors come in recognition of his profound teachings and the pivotal role he played in the transmission of the Oral Torah during the difficult post-Churban era.
